In short

What is the Step-Up SIP Calculator?

This step-up SIP calculator estimates the value of a monthly investment that you increase by a fixed percentage each year. Enter the starting amount, the yearly increase, an expected return and the years to see the total invested, estimated returns and maturity value.

How it works

The calculator works year by year. Each month the instalment is invested at the start of the month and grows at the yearly return divided by 1200. After twelve months the instalment is raised by the step-up per cent, and the process repeats for every year. Returns are the final value minus total invested.

How to use it

  1. Enter your starting monthly SIP amount.
  2. Type how many per cent you will raise it each year.
  3. Enter the expected yearly return and the number of years.
  4. Read the invested amount, returns and maturity value.
Questions

Step-Up SIP Calculator — FAQ

What is a step-up SIP?

It is a monthly investment that you raise by a set per cent or amount at regular intervals, usually yearly, as your income grows.

Is the increase applied every month?

No. The amount stays fixed for twelve months and then rises once, so the step-up applies yearly.

How is this different from a normal SIP?

A normal SIP keeps the same amount throughout. A step-up adds more each year, so the amount invested and the final value are usually higher.
