Questions
Unix Timestamp Converter — FAQ
What is a Unix timestamp?
It is the count of seconds since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970, known as the epoch. Many systems store time this way.
How does it tell seconds from milliseconds?
Values with 12 or more digits, meaning 100 billion or above, are treated as milliseconds. Smaller values are treated as seconds.
What if my ISO date has no time zone?
It is read as UTC. Add an offset such as +05:30 to be explicit.
