What is the Conversion Rate Calculator?

Conversion rate is the share of visitors who complete the action you want, such as buying, enquiring or signing up. Divide conversions by visitors and multiply by 100. Compare it with your own past rates for the same page and traffic source.

How it works

Conversion rate % = conversions / visitors x 100. Visitors per conversion = visitors / conversions. Both show zero when the divisor is zero. Use the same date range for visitors and conversions, and count unique visitors or sessions consistently.

How to use it

  1. Enter the number of visitors or sessions.
  2. Enter the number who completed the action.
  3. Read the conversion rate and visitors per conversion.
  4. Track the same figure each month for each page or channel.
Questions

Conversion Rate Calculator — FAQ

Should I use sessions or users?

Either works if you stay consistent. Sessions are common for e-commerce, while unique users suit enquiry pages.

Why does conversion rate vary by source?

Visitors from different channels have different intent, so measure each source separately instead of averaging everything.

Does a higher rate always mean more revenue?

No. Revenue also depends on traffic volume and order value, so look at all three together.
