What is the Cost Per Lead Calculator?

Cost per lead is the average amount you spend to generate one enquiry or sign-up. Divide total spend by the number of leads. A low figure is only helpful if the leads turn into customers, so also track how many of them buy.

How it works

Cost per lead = total spend / number of leads. Leads per ₹1,000 = leads / spend x 1,000. Both show zero when the divisor is zero. Count only genuine leads, and use spend and leads from the same period and channel.

How to use it

  1. Enter the marketing spend for a channel or campaign.
  2. Enter the leads it produced in the same period.
  3. Read the cost per lead and leads per ₹1,000.
  4. Check how many leads become customers before judging the channel.
Questions

Cost Per Lead Calculator — FAQ

What counts as a lead?

Any person who shows interest and leaves contact details, such as a form fill, call or WhatsApp enquiry. Decide a clear rule and stick to it.

Are all leads equally valuable?

No. Some channels bring leads that close more often. Compare cost per lead with the value of a lead, not in isolation.

Which costs should I include?

Include ad spend, and add tools, creative and agency fees if you want the full cost of generating leads.
