What is the CPM Calculator?

CPM, or cost per mille, is what you pay for every 1,000 times your ad is shown. Divide spend by impressions and multiply by 1,000. It measures the price of visibility only, so judge it together with click-through and conversion results for the same campaign.

How it works

CPM = ad spend / impressions x 1,000. Impressions per ₹1,000 = impressions / spend x 1,000. If impressions or spend is zero, the matching result shows zero. Use totals from the same campaign and the same dates.

How to use it

  1. Enter the ad spend.
  2. Enter the impressions delivered for the same period.
  3. Read the CPM and the impressions per ₹1,000.
  4. Use CPM to compare placements or audiences, alongside their results.
Questions

CPM Calculator — FAQ

What counts as an impression?

An impression is each time the ad is displayed on a screen, whether or not anyone clicks it. The same person can generate several impressions.

When is CPM the right measure?

It suits awareness campaigns where reach matters. For lead or sales goals, cost per lead or cost per acquisition is usually more informative.

Why do CPMs differ between audiences?

Advertisers compete for some audiences and times more than others, so the same budget buys different numbers of impressions.
