What is the CPC Calculator?

Cost per click, or CPC, is the average amount you pay each time someone clicks your ad. Divide ad spend by clicks to get it. A lower CPC is only useful if those clicks convert, so read it together with your conversion rate and cost per lead.

How it works

CPC = total ad spend / total clicks. Clicks per ₹1,000 = clicks / spend x 1,000. Both show zero if the divisor is zero. Use the same date range and campaign for spend and clicks, otherwise the average will be misleading.

How to use it

  1. Enter the ad spend for a campaign or period.
  2. Enter the number of clicks over the same period.
  3. Read the cost per click and clicks per ₹1,000.
  4. Compare with your earlier campaigns rather than a general figure.
Questions

CPC Calculator — FAQ

Is a lower CPC always better?

Not necessarily. Cheap clicks from the wrong audience may never convert, so judge CPC alongside cost per lead or cost per sale.

Which clicks should I count?

Use link clicks or the platform clicks that reach your page. Counting every interaction on the ad, such as likes, will understate the cost.

Why does my CPC change daily?

Ad auctions depend on competition, audience, quality and timing, so average CPC moves. Look at a longer period for a steadier view.
