How to use it
- Paste your JSON into the box.
- Choose 2 spaces, 4 spaces or tabs for indentation.
- Read the formatted result, or the error message if the JSON is invalid.
- Copy the result with the Copy button.
Questions
JSON Formatter & Validator — FAQ
Is my JSON uploaded anywhere?
No. Formatting happens in your browser, so the text never leaves your device.
Why does it say my JSON is invalid?
Common causes are trailing commas, single quotes instead of double quotes, unquoted keys and comments. JSON is stricter than JavaScript object syntax.
Does formatting change my data?
No. Only whitespace changes. Keys, values and their order stay exactly as they were.
