What is the Leave Encashment Calculator?
This calculator estimates the amount paid for unused leave days. Enter the monthly basic salary, the days-per-month basis your policy uses and the number of unused leave days. It shows the per-day rate and the total encashment, which is the per-day rate multiplied by the leave days.
How it works
The per-day rate is the monthly basic salary divided by the days-per-month basis you type, such as 26 or 30. The leave encashment amount is that per-day rate multiplied by the unused leave days. A basis of zero shows zero, so check that field if the result looks empty.
How to use it
- Enter the monthly basic salary.
- Type the days-per-month basis from your policy.
- Enter the unused leave days to be encashed.
- Read the per-day rate and the encashment amount.

Tax treatment depends on the case and on current tax rules, so check the official rules or ask a tax professional.
Is there a limit on the days I can encash?
Limits are set by company policy and, in some cases, by law. This tool applies none, so enter only the days you are entitled to encash.
