What is the Notice Period End Date Calculator?
This calculator finds your last working day from the resignation date and the notice period in days. It adds any leave taken during notice, subtracts days waived or bought out, and shows the weekday. Give an as-on date and it also counts the calendar days still remaining.
How it works
Total notice days are the notice period plus leave days taken during notice, minus days waived or bought out. The last working day is the resignation date plus those days, counting from the day after resignation. Remaining days are the calendar days from the as-on date to that last day.
How to use it
- Enter the resignation date.
- Enter the notice period in days from your contract.
- Add leave days taken during notice and any days waived or bought out.
- Optionally set an as-on date, then read the last working day.
Notice Period End Date Calculator — FAQ
Does the notice start on the day I resign or the next day?
This tool counts from the day after resignation. If your contract counts the resignation day as day one, subtract one day.
Can leave taken during notice extend it?
Many policies extend notice by such leave, but not all. Use the leave field only if yours does.
What if the last working day falls on a weekend?
The tool shows the weekday so you can spot it. Your contract or HR decides whether the date moves.
