What is the Percentage Calculator?
This percentage calculator gives two answers from the same pair of numbers. The first is X per cent of Y, such as 20 per cent of 150. The second shows what per cent X is of Y, such as 15 out of 60. Enter both numbers and read the results.
How it works
X per cent of Y is X multiplied by Y and divided by 100. X as a per cent of Y is X divided by Y and multiplied by 100. If Y is zero, the second result is shown as 0 because a share of zero cannot be worked out.

Can X be larger than Y?
Yes. If X is 150 and Y is 100, X is 150 per cent of Y. The calculator handles values above 100 per cent.
