In short

What is the Working Days Calculator?

This calculator counts the working days between a start date and an end date, with both dates included. You choose whether weekends are Saturday and Sunday or Sunday only. Public holidays are not counted, so deduct any holidays that fall in the period yourself.

How it works

Every calendar day from the start date to the end date is checked. Days that fall on the chosen weekend are counted as weekend days and the rest as working days. Public holidays are not known to the tool and are not removed.

How to use it

  1. Pick the start date.
  2. Pick the end date.
  3. Choose whether weekends are Saturday and Sunday or Sunday only.
  4. Read the working days, then subtract any public holidays.
Questions

Working Days Calculator — FAQ

Does the count include the start and end dates?

Yes. Both dates are included if they are working days, so one Monday to the same Monday counts as one working day.

Are public holidays removed?

No. Public holidays differ by state and employer, so the tool leaves them in. Subtract them from the result yourself.

What if my week has a different off day?

Choose the closest option. The tool supports Saturday and Sunday off, or Sunday only off.
