  3. Add the purpose, the date and who received it.
  4. Print the preview or save it as PDF and hand it over.
Questions

Payment Receipt Generator — FAQ

How is the amount written in words?

The tool uses the Indian system, so 1,05,000 reads One Lakh Five Thousand and 1,23,45,678 reads One Crore Twenty Three Lakh and so on. Paise are added if you type decimals.

Is a receipt the same as an invoice?

No. A receipt confirms money was received, while an invoice asks for payment. For GST purposes, check with your accountant which document you need.

What if the amount is zero?

The tool asks for an amount greater than zero, because a receipt for nothing has no use.
