What is the Mailto Link Generator?
This tool builds a mailto: link that opens the visitor's email app with the recipient, optional cc, subject and message already filled in. It also gives you a ready-to-paste HTML anchor. Use it for contact buttons on a website, in email signatures or in documents.
How to use it
- Enter the recipient email address. For several recipients, separate them with commas.
- Add a cc address, a subject and a message if you want them pre-filled.
- Set the link text for the HTML anchor.

Can I send to more than one person?
Yes. Separate the addresses with commas in the To or Cc field and each one is added to the link.
Why do spaces and line breaks look like percent codes?
Links cannot contain raw spaces or line breaks, so they are encoded as codes such as %20. Email apps decode them back to normal text when the link is opened.
Does a mailto link work if the visitor has no email app?
It opens whichever app the device uses for email links. If none is set up, nothing may happen, so also show the address as plain text.
