URL Shortener
Turn a long web address into a short aplusolution.in/s/ link with a click counter and a QR code.
Paste a long link and press Shorten.
Do not shorten links to private or sensitive documents: anyone who has the short link can open it.
What is the URL Shortener?
The URL Shortener turns a long web address into a short link that redirects to it, which is easier to share in WhatsApp messages, SMS, print and social posts. You can choose your own ending, see how many times the link has been clicked, and download a QR code for it. It is free and needs no sign-up.
How it works
The long address is saved against a short code. When someone opens the short link, the server looks up the code, adds one to the click count and redirects the visitor to the original address.
How to use it
- Paste the long link you want to shorten.
- Optionally type a custom ending, such as your campaign name.
- Press Shorten, then copy the short link or download its QR code.
- Come back and paste the short link's ending to see its click count.
URL Shortener — FAQ
Do short links expire?
No expiry is applied. A link stays active unless it is reported and switched off for abuse.
What do you store when I shorten a link?
The long address, the time it was created and the number of clicks. The creator's IP address is not stored; only a one-way fingerprint is kept briefly to prevent bulk abuse.
Can I shorten any link?
Any normal public http or https address. Links to private network addresses, links carrying passwords and sites on the block list are refused, and there is a limit on how many links one visitor can create per hour.
