What is the Packing List Generator?
The Packing List Generator creates a printable packing list from the shipper and consignee details, invoice number, date and a list of items with quantity, net weight, gross weight and number of boxes. It adds up every column and runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.
How to use it
- Enter the shipper and consignee details, the invoice number and the date.
- Type one item per line as item | qty | net kg | gross kg | boxes.
- Check the totals row at the bottom.
- Print the packing list or save it as PDF and attach it to the shipment.

What is the difference between net and gross weight?
Net weight is the weight of the goods alone. Gross weight includes the packing material, so it is the larger of the two.
Do I need a packing list for every shipment?
It is commonly requested for shipments, especially exports and transport. Check what your buyer, carrier or customs agent expects.
What units are used?
The tool labels weights in kilograms and prints quantities as plain numbers. Put the unit in the item name if it matters.
