What is the Timesheet Hours Calculator?
This calculator totals hours from a timesheet. Paste one day per line as a start and end time in 24-hour HH:MM form, such as 09:00 - 17:30. It deducts the daily break, handles shifts that cross midnight, shows hours for each line and gives the total in hours and as decimal hours.
How it works
Each line is end minus start in minutes, with 24 hours added if the end is earlier than the start. The daily break is subtracted from every valid line. The total is the sum of all net minutes, and decimal hours are the total minutes divided by 60. Unreadable lines are listed and left out.
How to use it
- Write one day per line as start - end, for example 09:00 - 17:30.
- Use 24-hour HH:MM times.
- Enter the unpaid break in minutes for each day.
- Read each day and the total hours.
Timesheet Hours Calculator — FAQ
What separators can I use between times?
A hyphen, an en dash or the word to all work, so 09:00 - 17:30 and 09:00 to 17:30 are both read.
Is the break taken from every line?
Yes. The same break is deducted from each valid line. For different breaks, run separate lists.
What does a flagged line mean?
The tool could not read two valid HH:MM times on that line, or the break was longer than the shift, so the line is left out of the total.
