What is the Team Capacity Calculator?
This calculator estimates how many hours a team can really deliver in a sprint or period. Enter the team size, hours per day, working days, total leave days and a focus factor you choose. It returns available hours, available person-days and productive hours after allowing for meetings and interruptions.
How it works
Available person-days are team members times working days, minus total leave days. Available hours are those person-days times hours per day. Productive hours are available hours times the focus factor you type, divided by 100. Leave above the total person-days is capped, so capacity never goes negative.
How to use it

What focus factor should I use?
Choose a figure based on how much of a day goes to meetings, support and interruptions in your team. The tool does not assume one.
How do I count leave?
Add up every person-day of leave and holiday in the period, so two people each away for three days make six days.
Can I use this for a part-time team member?
Yes. Reduce the team size or the hours per day to reflect the part-time share, or run the tool for them separately.
